Sleek Solstice Highlight

It can definitely be said that 2016 is the year of the highlight, contouring, strobing and even baking all use lighter shades or highlighters to highlight the areas on your face where the sun would naturally hit. Recently I have been on the hunt for the perfect highlight. After browsing the interwebs and doing research on youtube I came to the conclusion that the Sleek Highlighting Palette Solstice (£ 9.99) would be a range of colours that would match my skin tone, which is fairly pale.

I picked up this beauty on a recent trip to Boots but of course this product is also available for online order. So did this highlight live up to the hype? First of all, I love the packaging: it is your perfect shade of copper-gold on the out and inside. There is also a big mirror on the inside which is always a plus. There are four shades in the palette of which one is a cream based product (on the top left) and the rest are powders. Their names are Ecliptic, Hemisphere, Subsolar and Equinox. At first I was a bit hesitant when I saw the powder shades because they do contain quite some glitter but once applied to the skin all these individual shades look amazing! In a nutshell this is a great palette for the price and I would definitely recommend it for you paler ladies out there. Even though the two right colours would also look beautiful on darker skin.
